Born on November 9, 1961. Studied at the Dutch Film and Television Academy, where he worked will all types of camera and all types of film. In 1989, received the Golden Calf award for his short film “Alaska” at the Dutch Academy. From 1990, worked in television. In 1996, made his debut in feature films with “Character” (winning an Oscar in 1997). Won international fame with the shooting of ”Quills". Has worked successfully in Hollywood in recent years.
